Herd of Homesteaders – Core Subject Enrichment with Ms. Ann Waiver & Release

Acknowledgment of Risk:
I, the undersigned parent/guardian, understand that participation in the Core Subject Enrichment program at Herd of Homesteaders, located on a working farm, involves activities such as academic lessons, crafts, outdoor exploration, and interaction with farm animals. I recognize that these activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to: minor injuries (scratches, bumps, bruises), allergic reactions, exposure to insects, animal bites or scratches, falls, or other unforeseen incidents. I acknowledge that serious injury, illness, or death is possible, though unlikely.

Assumption of Risk:
I voluntarily choose to allow my child to participate in the Core Subject Enrichment program and assume all risks associated with these activities, whether caused by my child’s actions, the actions of other participants, animals, or the condition of the farm property. I agree to supervise my child as required and acknowledge that program staff will provide guidance and oversight throughout the day.

Release and Waiver:
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I, for myself, my child, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and discharge Herd of Homesteaders, its owners, instructors (including Ms. Ann), employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in the Core Subject Enrichment program, including any injuries, damages, or losses occurring on the farm premises.

Medical Condition and Emergency Treatment:
I certify that my child is physically able to participate in the activities described. I authorize staff or volunteers to seek emergency medical care if necessary. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical treatment required.

Animal Interaction:
I understand that animals may behave unpredictably. While Herd of Homesteaders takes reasonable steps to ensure safety, I acknowledge that all animal interactions carry risks, and I assume full responsibility for my child’s participation in such activities.

Photography/Video Release:
I consent to photos and videos of my child being taken during the program and used for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes by Herd of Homesteaders.

Governing Law:
This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Acknowledgment of Understanding:
I have carefully read and fully understand this waiver. By signing below, I voluntarily agree to its terms and acknowledge that I am giving up certain legal rights on behalf of myself and my child.
